![]() That to me echoes real life, sometimes our roles just put us in opposition with other good people. What do you think it is about the notion of heroes fighting each other instead of villains that fans seem to like so much? And also, why can’t they just get along in the first place, aren’t they heroes? Parker: What I like is when instead of it being a misunderstanding, it’s like it is here - Swamp Thing had very good reason to do his big stunt with the world’s algae, and Aquaman had just as good reason to be alarmed by it and not simply take some marsh monster’s word that it wouldn’t happen again. ![]() So I think if he were really motivated, it would get pretty ugly! IGN: We’ve seen heroes meet, misunderstand, fight, and then make amends time and time again. Was this ever a fair fight given that Swamp Thing is pretty much a plant god? If this were a battle to the finish, would Aquaman even stand a chance? Parker: Aquaman can be pretty deadly when he wants, and he has the resources of Atlantis. IGN: The story was excellent, but I want to pull back and just focus on the concept of Aquaman vs. And Charles Soule was very cool about making a crossover work in with his plans, everybody came together much easier than these things usually go. ![]() ![]() He’s also one of my all time favorite characters, so I was happy to oblige. ![]() IGN Comics: How did this crossover between Aquaman and Swamp Thing come about?
